If this doesn't help me in my job quest then I don't know what will!...

My third time seeing him live in Glasgow in the last three years. We are so fortunate that he tours the UK every year. The crowds still come to see him in force because he puts on such a stellar show. I'm running out of adjectives to describe him. It's a "no frills" show. What you see is what you get, no fancy overdubs, etc, just a bunch of talented musicians that love performing. We took up our usual seats, middle of the front row (I somehow always manage to be the first to book tickets!), and the show was as good as ever.

Hey!
Last Wednesday was my Graduation ceremony. Thought you might like to see some photos from it. :-)
I graduated with First Class Distinction in Finance from Strathclyde University. I usually don't like to gloat about things (except for my good looks of course!), but I've put SO much hard work into this over the past 4 years that it's so nice to be able to tell people that the hard work has paid off and that I achieved what I set out to achieve despite the obvious struggles.

Jorgi, Leo, Rich, Sylvia, Yvi, Ralf, Tanya, the Ducks, Lee, EVERYONE!......
One of my favourite songs as a kid and still is one of my favourite songs. The Doobies are still kickin' ass after all these years and are doing it better than ever!

admit that winter is drawing near!.....
I usually enjoy this genre of music best during the long winter nights sat in front of the open-flame fire. But judging by the recent shortening of daylight hours here in Scotland and severe lack of sun, winter will be upon us Brits and northern-Europeans before we know it!

Check it out! http://www.acdc.com/news/news.php?uid=19
I last saw them in 2000 on their Stiff Upper Lip tour. Eight years is a long time to wait. I am ecstatic at this news!....

I've only got into Journey recently, after being forced to broaden my concert attendance horizons now that I won't be seeing the "cats" anymore. I chose to go see Journey back in June on a whim really. They were playing in my backyard (Glasgow) so there was no excuse for not making the effort to go, and I was intrigued by seeing the YouTube clips of Arnel singing the Journey classic (and most impressive to me, absolutely nailing 'Alone' by Ann Wilson of Heart).

As a well-publicised hater of the increasing trend towards overdone dynamic compression, wherever I can, I try to buy original first pressing CD releases of classic albums, and try to avoid any post-date re-releases that have usually been "remastered" simply by increasing the dynamic compression of the recording and making it sound LOUDER.

I just discovered Mr Luke played bass on Michael Jackson's "Beat It". You learn something new every day.......
