Thanks Billie.. my friends and I will be going to see the fireworks at the CBS/Radford lot in Studio City.. they have an excellent show, decent food and its a lot of fun!! If hes still cookin' I'll visit my pal Chuck's BBQ afterward...big fun!!!

yeah its a latin jazz groove, the previous one was recorded live by Bob Bradshaw who has a killer live recording setup...been trying to get singing lessons from Arnold for years, but he's always on the road!

In 1969 the US was engaged in the Viet Nam war and undergoing a serious social upheaval. In August of that year Woodstock happened- 500,000 people gathering non-violently for 3 days of "Peace,Love and Music". Jimi Hendrix performed this rendition of the Star Spangled Banner and caused a major controversy. Jimi had actually performed it a shows since '68(he did it on May10 that year at the Filmore east in NYC when I saw him), but this was in whole new context and really shocked a lot of people..

But i love the way these guys perform this song. Was looking if i could find " our " Steve doing it , but i could not find it.Americans might just be proud when that song gets played by these talented guys !

no one had ever made music like that before...Jimi was truly amazing..Steve Vai captures a lot of the vibe and is an amazing player and like Luke tries to move the marker into new territory...
