I've tracked and charted these things for a long time, as I'm sure some of my MS, LA, and AL neighbors have done.

The above is of Hurricane IVAN (a category 3) in 2004.

He came up from below Cuba to landfall East of Mobile Bay, and took out a concrete and steel bridge in Pensacola, FL.

I sure hope GUSTAV does NOT take the same track Ivan did. If so, we'll be a day or so cleaning up even here.

Any LSU fans here???
The kickoff for the game in Tiger Country has been moved.
Not that Southern Miss is in the same conference, but we've got gridlock in Hattiesburg as I type---might move our kickoff time as well, but who knows!

Why did I post my map and track of IVAN ??
Well? HIstory does have a tendency to repeat itself. (First Camille---then Katrina); First IVAN adn hopefully NOT GUSTAV, but we are 'wait and see/hope and pray" and prepare.
He may head to TEXAS!
