From Tommy Wiggins-

Hello all,
As you may recall, The Kattman returned home on Friday. Georgia and I spent last Saturday and Sunday with John. The guy is pretty wiped out by his lengthy ordeal, but received us with open arms. He has internet access now that he's home again . Contact from his many friends is appreciated. If you call he asks you to call his land line*** *** **** so he can keep his cell phone minutes under control.

In my view, John is really having a hard go of it. He seems to have good services available to him, and can advocate for himself, but as he lives alone, he really doesn't have an everyday backup person in his corner. Dealing with appointments, transportation, when to eat (he calls his liquid diet "cheeseburger in a can" wipes him out.

The song we wrote together and Georgia videotaped speaks volumes as to how fragile John is at this point. He's really in the hurt box and needs our support. Prayers are good, but cash, phone calls and emails are what the man needs right now. He has it in his mind that he can work a few hours a day, but frankly he's weak as a kitten and needs a lot of rest.

That's the news from the windy city. Hey, if you come out to visit John, check outthe Frank Lloyd Wright home and workshop

I am a Lonely People
Too many lonely people
In their lonely rooms
Wishin' they had somebody
To cut thru the grey and the gloom
We all need somebody
to pick up the phone
ask "hey, how are you doin?"
feel like they're not so alone

pick up the phone
tell 'em you care
we're all alone
and it ain't fair
they're countin' on me
countin' on you

too many lonely people
more than we'll ever know
everybody needs somebody
to tell 'em you love them so

I am a lonely people
But I'm not dead yet
It only really feels that way
>From sunrise to sunset
Picking up the telephone
That weighs a quarter ton
Living under water
Is nobody's kind of fun

If my brain and I were one
You know I would take your call
But I just can't reach it
'cuz I'm holding up the wall

so pick up the phone
tell me you care
I'm all alone
And it ain't fair
I'm countin' on you
you're counting on me

There's too many lonely people
More than we'll ever know
Everybody needs somebody
To tell 'm we love them so

I am the lonely people
You are the lonely people
We are the lonely people

Quarter ton phone
Quarter ton phone
Where did you come from?
You were only fourteen ounces
When I brought you home

John is back!... It would be really cool if everybody watched John's video and sent a link to it for their their friends to watch as well... lets show the brother some love...

TO SKLAR, MISS TANYA, RAINCLOUD, AND ALL'A YOUSE....

......my friend Tommy did not exaggerate my puny, pathetic condition. Fortunately, it's only phyiscal. ::))

Actually, it's been a BITCH.

Toughest part = the emotional drain, the feeling of not being present. Much of that's due to the incredible DOPE they've been feeding me for the last 3 months or so: Fentanyl time-release patches (allegedly 30 times heavier than Morphine) plus Morphine Sulfate immediate release tabs. This, for a guy who hasn't had so much as a beer, a glass of wine, or a doob since Jimmy Carter was President....NICE.

But I can't tell you how much I appreciate the shout-outs, and the Love. I have maybe 2 decent hours of strength per day right now (which is about 1:46 more than I've had, to date), so please allow me this one note, to cover all of y'all.

Ane keep the vibe(s) coming....prayer, well wishes, happy-happy talk, and more....still have a bit of surgery due, and hopefully THAT will be THAT. No more "unwelcome tennants."

thanks so much~TT

YO, KATMAN!!!!!!!!!!

An uncle o' mine (actually Great-uncle), has battled the 'unwelcomed tenants' for some time. Surgery, medication, at one point he gave up makin' the music he grew up playin'---so he could concentrate on gettin' rid of whatever was ailin' him.

Ya know what?
In the past two years, I've seen him four times....one of which I got to circle up with the dude and play a little bit. (He saws a mean fiddle!).

He's STILL fighting the good fight, and will continue---too many Great-Great grand neices and nephews in the picture now. So he keeps at it.

I notice yer sportin' ye old "Michael Jordan" 'do. With the humidity and temps up your way---that's gotta be a cool (literally) look. Channelin' a little Reid Johnson, are ye??
(Go CUBS!), anywho.

SEND YOUR address (house please) via PM here. I HAD it at one point and ---though I have looked, the information has seemed to grow legs and walk off.

ps: Prayer Wall at Church. (A bulletin-board/cork board of sorts). If'n ya don't mind, I would like to put a card with your name on it on the Wall. Mikey's has been there for about six months.
;-)
Might be a good thing to have (more) folks you've never met sendin' up healing vibes and such. My pastor won't mind mentioning you to Somebody Bigger. Mickey is my age and has had a tumor removed from the front of his brain. HE TOO knows "fight".

I am certain he will pray for your total healing as well as his own.

Mickey's just cool like that.

Keep writin' the tunes, TT. There is MUSIC THERAPY. It's not just a myth. USE IT.
Sometimes, I find that's the best dope of all.
;-)

Welcome home man!

I don't have your number so I'll write you this message instead. You took/take the hard road and it can be very rough but know that your network friends are always there for you if not in person than for sure in prayers and/or good vibes!

You can count on many of those to come from Holland!

Stay strong! And great song!

Hugs from Holland!
Music is the answer!

Hey Kattman

So glad your home and on the slow mend. From one faithful networker to another.
Whats your mailing address?.. ill send some $$ to help out. Please don't feel
proud or you owe me anything. A man should help a fellow man in need especially when
the one in need can use prayers, support and oh yea. Some Cash to fill the void.
Its my way of thanking you for all the good things you do for others.
God Bless bro.

.......sorry to not be able to call or write 1:1, but I promise that some day, when this all blows over, I'll make it up to you, and all the fans. Meanwhile, God grant us all the gift of Mercy, rather than Justice. ::))
