More Wildlife Adventures, part 16...

Well now it's about bees...My favorite birdhouse on the hill...I went to trim the vine and realized that there were bees living in it...when the bee people came out he could hardly lift the roof off the house...this is the result and he thought that the hive is about 8 months old...this birdhouse is big, the roof line is probably 30 to 34 inches across, made from 1/2" plywood with a cooper roof and a cupola...

Love Bees

Wow, that's impressive, and you're very lucky they didn't get upset with you being so close! Anytime I'm in the garden working, they are all so peaceful, just doing their thing!

Really is a drag...

I hated to have to do this...the bees are so important to our fresh food supply and existence as humans...made me very sad! On the other hand what a great work of art that they have completed!!! Wait until the next story...you'll really be grossed out!!!

I will ?

I'll make sure i had nothing to eat , okay ? We had a bee-problem last year , in one dead tree in that what once was the playground , there were 1000s of them. Thats scary sh!t as well , with the kids running around and climbing that tree. The bee-people told us to make sure none of the kids would climb in it untill they removed their house ... yikes !

I'm not a complete idiot ... Some parts are missing !

I thought....

bees are a protected species and are only removed when there is a serious threat, like with you Billie.
Is this the same way in the States?

Hugs from Holland!
Music is the answer!
