Hi guys,
Its been a hectic 2 weeks. I am glad to say that we are not near the fires but they are close to many of our friends and thank GOD no one I know has been hurt or had damage. I am praying for those I dont know as well. It is VERY serious here in LA. Hoping for good news soon and thanks to all that have reached out with the good vibes!
On a lighter note, had a blast jammin with Boz Scaggs Sat night with Paich and Boz's cool band. Dave and I have also just written a new tune for George Benson we are finishing. It is a killer tune. The thought was that everyone that has ever written a hit for George write another so we rose to the challenge. It is great working with Dave one on one again. Like old times but dont read into any reunion things here guys. Just old friends getting together to make some music. I also wrote and played on a tune for Joe Williams new record too. I believe he will be in Japan next week with me and so maybe we will jam or something, at least hang out. We are all still good friends.
I am getting ready to leave for Japan on Sun. It should be a blast. These are the last "official" dates for the year although NEWS FLASH,
You heard it here first..
I am doing a benefit concert at the ROXY in LA Dec. 21st to benefit the Casey Lee Ball pediatiric kidney transplant charity. My pet charity.
I will have my band plus many special guest guitar players ala Santamental BUT with non Xmas tunes thrown in as well. When my guests are confirmed I will make a press release as we JUST firmed this up yesterday. its 20 bucks up front and 25 the night of. I wanted to keep it cheap to fill the place and keep the vibe alive. ALL money will go to the charity and sponsors will pick up the costs. I am sure there will many other cool things that we get together for this gig as well.
I hope many of you will come. I promise ALOT of surprises!
In tne meantime have a great day and I will check in from japan.
Luke

Hi Luke,
Welcpme to Japan!
No word in English comes up to my mind to describe
how much I'm excited about your Japan tour!
The only thing that I can do about it is put "!!!!!×1000"marks!
Tonigit, you're going to start the tour with my home town,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY,Luke oxoxo!!!
It's very special thing for me.
Althouh you're always special.

Now, you can suppose who I am, can you?
A crazy(you always say) girl from Osaka!
Well then...
I wish you a wonderful tour here in Japan.
See you tonigt!
With big & deep respect,
Kaz

Luke, Howzit in Japan?? Have to agree with what someone wrote...you need to write a book about you past, present, and future, would be great reading about your thoughts.
Was just listening to Neil Larsen's "Blind Spot" and to everyone out there if you want to hear one of Luke's best, loose solos check it out...I have MS and think my brain lesions were caused by that solo (and maybe the solo on "Livefields").....Much Mahalo...Bill

I would love to hear some new music from Boz soon. And please keep us posted about releases like Benson and Joseph!

Better than Snoop Dog ! ahahah !
I hope you will enjoy this videoclip !

Hi Luke, good to hear that you're not near the fire & everything is all right. It must be a really serious situation in L.A., it's been in the radio & tv news here. Let's pray that not too many people loose their houses by the fire!!
Sending some good vibes
Olli

I love that you keep us all updated on what you're doing. You have a most interesting life. Gotta do a book, man! HA! Good luck in Japan
MySpace Page

wil keep send ing good vibes to all who need them
good to hear you can get together and make some music
have a great time in Japan
lot of love ellen

Heh. I think the quote on "Burn down the Night" was/is as follows:
"Good friends=Good Music"
Was an equation, actually.
Safe travel to Japan. I am prayin' for all of you out in LA batting fires. I'd rather battle an inch of water in my house!!!
Y'all got it rough out there -maybe the Santa Anas die down.
Love ya!
T

Man, I'll have to sort out my passport. That sounds like a cool gig, and for a worthwhile cause too.
I'm looking forward to hearing the George Benson song. How cool is that guy. Magic hands; magic voice.

Thanks so much for what you do for charity and the world luke. Its easy to say you play
for the $$ first and love of music second. But we true followers know the difference. You would play for free all of your living years as your record speaks for itself.
The music scene might be dying but "dinasours" like yourself keep the "truth" alive.
Thanks so much for all the years of giving it all to us to listen, learn and love your music and style. (never forgetting your humor of course) If i have one request,it would be someday for you and Michael Landau to do a record together. I think it would be the ultimate gig'... i wouldn't care if it was fusion, rock or whatever you two came up with. It would be a recording for the ages..... Please keep it in mind. A lot of followers of yours and Mike always mention it and hope it will happen someday..
rock on bro! Good luck and have a great time in Japan, They luv your music to death.

Hi Luke,
It's so cool to have some news from you.I have just come back from work and here it's 6 pm.I'm glad to know that this fire didn't hurt you nor some of your friends BUT I have a special thought for those who have lost their homes and souvenirs. However the most important thing is that no one has been hurt.
WAOW a gig with boz and Dave !!!You twist the knife. I wish I could be there but LA is millions miles away from my frogeaters country and 2009 seems to be so far away. SO please come back soon !
What matters is that you keep on rocking and living for your passion.I wish you the best for your Japan Tour and send you my deepest good vibes!
Take care
Pascale

Man, I wish I lived near a damned coast! All the best vibes to you from Missouri, though!!

Have a great time in Japan , with mr Williams.

I'm not a complete idiot ... Some parts are missing !

Hugs for Dave and have a blast in Japan.
