JP 208R....

ANDYMAN...
Those are, indeed, originals, and very well-used. You can tell he played those pretty hard for that gig. I have a set of Imboden's Vater 5B's from a couple years ago and the "chicago" screen print is almost rubbed off on them.

Here's an odd note:
Calato has since taken the 'performers series' silkscreen off the 208R JP's... They are still 'performers series'; just doesn't have the notation.
(Got mine from Weiss in Pennsylvania, btw).
I've played Zildjian 5A's and a couple other sets, but this is a great set of sticks-very balanced for a beginner like me.

It is very cool to see a set Jeff actually played. I would find a Shadow Box for those.... ;-)

Rainc.

Oh, Tris Imboden is a great drummer Rainc......Chicago too!
In my honest opinion pro-mark are awesome sticks but during these years I used Vic-Firth 5A too.....!!!

Simon79: Firth....

When I was first learning to play in college, my teacher told us to find Firth SD1 generals.

That's too much stick for my paws.

I've played Zildjian, and Firth...and I THINK I've picked up a couple sets of Pro-Mark (can't remember if I used to stock those for a music store-it's been a while!).

The Regal series Jeff signed off on, is by far the most balanced, well-crafted set of drumsticks I've ever played. I have four sets of them (my sister got me another set for Christmas), and two (2) different sets of Regal brushes (one wire, one nylon).

Unless something changes, I'm a Regal girl for life.
It's the quality of the thing. I can see why Jeff used 'em. Do a rim-shot with these, you know you have a stick that's not going to fall apart.

8A's the way to go.
