Earlier today, Headline News Network reported that around 100,000 people paid their respects for Pavarotti.

Wow.
I'll be blessed if 200 people show up at my wake!

It's almost like the whole town of Modena showed up for to say Goodbye,

A defining voice has left us...................

But joined the choir of angels. He's now in the hands of a greater power, and Heaven is truly a richer place with his presence. Luciano was one of the most awe inspiring singers I've ever heard, and the foremost of the "Three Tenors". He will be sorely missed by millions of people, but leaves a legacy of recordings that will live well beyond all of our years as an example of what an uninhibited voice can do. God bless him, and give him peace.

Does anyone here remember their PBS broadcast? That concert was what, three-maybe four hours long?

That's a long time to sing, and some of the pieces they did were very demanding.

Pavarotti will definitely be missed!

If you've never heard Pavarotti sing Nessun Dorma or Schubert's Ave Maria, log onto YouTube.com and hear this great tenor. Ave Maria has to be one of the greatest pieces ever written.

Sad to hear of his passing. The world has lost a wonderful voice.

CNN: "Famed opera tenor Luciano Pavarotti, who appeared on stage with singers as varied as opera star Dame Joan Sutherland, U2's Bono and Liza Minnelli, died Thursday after suffering from pancreatic cancer, his manager Terri Robson said in a statement. He was 71."

"I think a life in music is a life beautifully spent and this is what I have devoted my life to."

Luciano Pavarotti (1935 - 2007)

I admire Pavarotti as one of the greatest tenors of the 20th century.
