On Saturday, Eric and I put flagstone in my vege garden....good thing he grew up strong...he is a hockey defensemen and will play for the University of New England next fall. YAY!

Hockey! Shew...how did you learn to cope with him picking up that sport? I'm just trying to not freak out when my preschooler runs across pavement...and then there is the 'learning to pull up' phase I'm getting ready to go through again with my son...If I could pad them both up or have them rock out in a suit of armor until they are...well...waaaaayy older I would do it in a heartbeat!

We had crab cake benedict....
(because I know you love food) poached eggs over crab cakes with grilled tomato, biscuits with chorizo, jalapeno gravy, mimosa, and a chocolate truffle torte which we took home!

I didn't eat dinner that night! hahaha

as a matter of fact for the holidays up here this weekend> we will be having tons of bbq including these extra hot
chorizios they call red roosters!! they have an amazing flavor and are quite hot,so i have a recipe that tames them a bit.
eggs benedict are great ive had em with smoked salmon,ham,canadian back bacon,and lobster but never crab cakes.
im gonna try that one soon..
anyways glad your mom's day panned out.
