IVTOTO gets presented to Joe Porcaro for Steve and Mike

Hi folks,

Yours truly is back from the land of much traffic, and no parking. JoeG and I delivered the boxed IVTOTO cds for Mike and Steve to Joe Porcaro at his office in Pasadena at the Los Angeles Music Academy yesterday afternoon. It was a true honor and pleasure to meet such a kind and loving man. He generates light. First thing he did was put his arm around me, and thank me for coming. HE thanked ME!!! I said "This is an honor for ME!"
He was very gracious and talked to myself and JoeG for almost fifteen minutes. He spoke of how proud he was of TOTO and what his boys had achieved in their lives. I think he meant all of them, including Luke. He posed for a couple of pictures, and we gave him his own copy. He seemed surprised at the dedication of the TOTO fans, and talked about someone who had compiled a series of scrapbooks, very well done, of Jeff's entire career that someone had given him some time ago. He also mentioned that he had no idea Jeff had played on so many records. hahaha.More pics will follow, as will another post after I have had a drink and some food. That was one long ass drive!!! Not feeling my Jedi force at all. Four hours up. Four hours down. traffic. UGH.
Anyway, I wanted to share the moment with you all, and JoeG and I had a great afternoon at LAMA. I certainly won't forget meeting the patriarch of one of music's truly Royal families.

oh come on joe... we just did the best we could by giving 100% of ourselves to the service of this great community! And the greatest thing is that everybody started to partecipate very actively on it after the release...

the way your joy and happiness welcomed this great idea is what makes me feel one of the luckiest people in the world...

It was nice meeting you guys here at LAMA, even though we spoke for only 20 seconds or something like that,... hahaha
When I got in the office, Miranda was like; " Frank, they're Toto people!!!!" hahaha I guess it's pretty well known here at school that I'm a big Toto fan,,... hahaha.

Hope you guys are well and maybe we'll meet again sometime, somewhere,...

It was cool meeting you.Doing good...The school seems like a very cool place and everyone was really nice. Fiona bought a Tshirt(- I declined, didn't want anyone thinking that LAMA turns out players like me ;->). Hopefully she'll post a little piece on the school , its a pretty amazing place!

The 2nd copy of Joe's book has come and gone. (Sent out today for Dave's birthday on 5/15). Those guys at LAMA are SO COOL!

Anywho.
Nice to see you all had a great time.
Papa Joe is one BUSY dude.
He and my own Grandpa (Joe, no kidding!), are maybe a year apart in age. Perhaps I'll be playing through Joe P's, "Drum Set Method" cleanly by the time I'm 60.
That fellow pulls NO PUNCHES.

Great to see you guys had such a blast.

so unbeliveably great... speechless...

guys can you just imagine one month ago we were presenting the project in japan, today the delivery in the USA... this song just united all the nations in the name of toto fans... this is moving!

can't wait to have porcaro's feedbacks!!! it's going to be thrilling!
