No, before you all think I'm REALLY old, see the picture below. A Dutchman rebuild the Ark on scale and I visited it today. Inside there are some scenes from the bible and all kind of animals, horses, lions, rhinoceros, elephants, etc. All fake of course but in actual size. He's now planning to build one three times as big and he uses this one to raise money to do so. It's really impressive to walk around on it an realizing how big it must have been.
Just thought it fun to post it here......

very impressive! all I can think of is the way Bill Cosby tells the story of Noah. Noah does not want to build the ark until G_d asks him Noah,...How long can you tread water?"

That's a very good question!
Hugs from Holland!

Yeah, I have a recording of that one. Really good comedy. "Okay. What's a cubit?"

Never seen it, too bad, I love him.

I cant even build a Playmobile ship without it flying at least once before its finished

Impressive indeed !
How long did it take, to build this one ?!
mm

It took him about 2 years, he started in 2005 and finished in 2007. The builder mainly did it himself together with his son and sometimes a few volunteers but he never hired anyone.
He started building this after dreaming one night (15 years before he started building) that Holland was under water for a big part (wouldn't be the first time right....?!)

So it didn't take him as long as Noa !

Ha.
But...Noah didn't have radial saws and Bostitch Nail guns or air-compressors!!!!!!
And the White Star line thought "TITANIC" was rather impressive! This one takes the cake, I think.
But...will this one float!?
Let's hope we don't get a chance to find out!!!!!!

This ship already floated around Holland. So yeah, it floats!!!

It took Noah 120 years to build the Original!
(My guess? It took him THAT LONG to convince people that, "yeah, it's gonna rain!").
I can just hear some skeptics say, "Uh...what?"
Dig this.
Before the flood? There is no mention of RAINwater anywhere in the Bible. Rain, it seems, was a completely foreign concept to some folk.
Sure there were lakes and streams and puddles and stuff, but fall-from-the-sky rain? I think the flood's the first instance of THAT in the OT.
YIKES!

ps: Dad builds houses for a living--is a contractor and carpenter and minister. I gotta show him this.

There wasn't much else on Earth after the flood---so I guess they had to find SOMETHING to eat! *lol*
Bet ya the birds all said, "We're OUTTA here--I don't wanna be lunch for any hyena!"
