I went to a TV- show recording last night, to see a friend perform in a lyric competition. One of the contestants chose Africa for his 80's song. The trick is to remember the lyrics that are taken out of a karaoke text. With a live band. He remembered the lyrics correctly,thankfully... Funny thing was, the drummer did a Jeff signature fill going into the chorus. That was so cool! I love doing those fills myself, but it's fun to hear other drummers that know what Jeff was all about. Just wanted to share the fun, haha. Peace out! Jan

This is a fantastic pop album. And our beloved Luke is a part of it too. Along with names such as Richard Marx. Especially, I enjoy the opening track, I Know You(co- written by Luke), Surprise Yourself(also with Luke), Fools Cry, Tall Dark and Harmless, Dying of Delight... The album is plain cool. Lots of accoustic guitars, and of course, great instrumentalists. Check it out. Jan

Mark Wilkinson, british air brush artist, made this logo for my Marillion tribute Misplaced Neighbourhood. It's made from Marillion's logo for their first albums, while Fish was the singer. I'm proud to have an original logo from such a great artist like Mark.

A few of you have put out pic's of your instruments. Lovely. Instruments are beautiful. So are mine, I think. My Starclassics and Zildjians never let me down. This pic is from my big band's release party. It's all there, except the Octobans and the 22" Oriental china. What a lovely place to work. Some info on what's there: A Starclassic Maple kit in Brown Fade finish. 22" Kick 6,5" snare and a piccolo to my left 10, 12, 13, 14 and 16" suspended toms 20" Gong drum

Another clip from our release party. We filmed with two cameras, but still haven't mixed the two together. The sound is ok, although it's done with an ambience mic. Jan

I don't remember if this was the right way to embed a link from YouTube, but I'll give it a try. This is "It's Raining Men" from our release part for our album "Live '07" at Blæst in Trondheim. Jan

And I don't think I've ever looked forward to a Toto gig this much before. Of course, it feels special to finally have them coming to my hometown, but being a host for the band makes the occation even more memorable. I've been counting down the last few days, and now there are only six days left. The weather is terrible these days; it's been raining cats and dogs, and the forecast isn't much to cheer for, but one can always hope it will change for the better. Tickets sales are going well, so I really hope the city square will fill up nicely. I heard rumours that Toto were supposed to play in Trondheim on the Past to Present tour, but I have never heard that being confirmed, but the rumour was the venue turned down the band's offer.
