My thoughts on JOURNEY, past-to-present......

I've only got into Journey recently, after being forced to broaden my concert attendance horizons now that I won't be seeing the "cats" anymore. I chose to go see Journey back in June on a whim really. They were playing in my backyard (Glasgow) so there was no excuse for not making the effort to go, and I was intrigued by seeing the YouTube clips of Arnel singing the Journey classic (and most impressive to me, absolutely nailing 'Alone' by Ann Wilson of Heart).

My God....Steve Perry has returned to Journey, just close your eyes!

This is just incredible.....Steve Perry's voice is now in a fantastic singer from the Phillipines - Arnel Pineda! And now he is the lead singer of Journey! (for real!)

SAW JOURNEY LAST NIGHT AT THE CLYDE AUDITORIUM, GLASGOW, 20th JUNE 2008........

Man, what a show it was! I went to the concert knowing only 3 or 4 JOURNEY songs, but it didn't matter because by the end of the show it felt like I had been into the band for years!

Just bought tickets to go see JOURNEY !!!!.......

Well, I didn't know they were coming to Scotland til like 10 minutes ago, so I frantically pounced on the website to grab some tickets. Still was fortunately able to grab an alright position even though they've been on sale since Wednesday. Funny thing is, I only know 2 Journey songs, and I know nothing about the band. So what the hell am I doing buying tickets???!!!

New Journey singer does Toto

...found this on YouTube. "The Zoo", a cover band from the Philippines, plays Rosanna. The band plays it rather ordinary, but the singer Arnel Pineda does a GREAT job! "The Zoo" has done a lot of cover tunes, and it was through YouTube that Neil Schon and Jonathan Cain found mr Pineda, who now has become the new lead singer of Journey! sorry for the various quality of the clip:
