Here are some shots from last nights gig in Oslo. Killer gig, awesome musicians (duh), nice hang, killer setlist, out of this world version of Song for Jeff......you get the picture........ and yeah....here are some pictures. THIS IS A MUST SEE SHOW!!!
Hey people! On Thursday I attended Whitesnake's Oslo gig. And I just have one word to say: WOW! Being a huge Whitesnake fan for years, it was only about time I got to see a gig, but it was definitively worth the waiting. The 2008 line up, with the head snake himself, David Coverdale, guitarists Doug Aldrich and Reb Beach, bass player Uriah Duffy, Timothy Drury on keys and new drummer Chris Frazier, REALLY rocked the place for 2hrs. (the picture is taken from a newspaper)
Oh yeah, it's been great! As I've told before, I spent a week of my easter holiday in Chicago, Illinois, on tour with my choir from Norway, Manna Gospel Choir. We've had a great time, and really enjoying singing our songs for a different kind of audience than we usually do in Norway.
Hi everybody. As I have written in some of my posts here earlier, I'm going on tour with my choir in the easter break. We've been making plans and worked our ass of for about a year, and now the tour is finally here! Upcoming Friday, March 14th, we're heading for Chicago, Illinois! We will stay there for a week, singing at several services and maybe (not yet confirmed) a concert together with another choir. We'll be singing in the Norwegian Memorial Church in Chicago, and a few other churches. (if any of you have seen any promotion for Manna Gospel Choir, that'll be us!)
Last night I attended the concert Tower Of Power at Rockefeller Music Hall in Oslo. And I just have to say one thing: WOW! An incredible show, from a tour marking their 40th anniversary, and with a few special tunes from their upcoming record. Emilio Castillo and the rest of the horn section were really on fire. An incredible sight seeing their dancing, singing and playing their instruments for almost two hours!
Mark Wilkinson, british air brush artist, made this logo for my Marillion tribute Misplaced Neighbourhood. It's made from Marillion's logo for their first albums, while Fish was the singer. I'm proud to have an original logo from such a great artist like Mark.
Hi everybody!
I've not been visiting the network to much lately (I've read some of the posts, but my participation has been low), but just dropped by to tell you about an amazing gig I saw last night!
Yesterday, Canadian rock band RUSH was visiting Oslo, for the first time since 1979. A 3 hour show, including several hilarious video clips on the big screens, great animations, top class light productions, and excellent musicianship!
It was definitively a night to remember. During the show they played 9 tunes from their newest album, "Snakes and Arrows", along with a bunch of old favorites, such as "The Spirit of Radio", "Tom Sawyer" and "YYZ".
