Contributed by: Russell Weisfield on 8/13/2008 Jethro Tull, the band that in 1971 had the most infamous Red Rocks concert ever, returned to the fabled venue on August 12. Based upon the setlist one might very well have thought it was that day in 1971. Touring in celebration of their fortieth anniversary, the band decided to harken back to their early days opening with 1968's My Sunday Feeling. The blues theme continued with Living in the Past and Roland Kirk's Serenade to a Cuckoo which allowed frontman Ian Anderson to showcase his dirty flute style of playing.
Check these beautiful pics my buddy William and I took at the Cognac venue, in Backstage and during the show. To see all pics and reviews, follow the link. This afternoon I'll mashcast a bit to send you vids of the show.
Steve Lukather ~ Ever Changing Times (Ride Records) by Guy-Michael Grande IN AN ERA OF "GUITAR HERO" riffmeister wannabes, Steve Lukather remains a genuinely dynamic, ever-evolving guitarist and hero to several generations of music fans. Now more than three decades since his arrival as an A-list session man and founding member of Grammy-winning band Toto, Luke's fluidly molten playing, warm-edged vocals and expansive songwriting make Ever Changing Times an essential record for lovers of soulfully rendered shredding and songsmithing alike.

A very special moment for me! When Steve came up standing next to Ricky. Who I was standing in front of all evening! I was the only one with a camera in front of them in that corner and Steve looked at me. With my big eye catcher of a camera and all crazy blue neon sticks i had in my ears and around my arm. Now, i'm sure that that must have pulled his attention! And it made a great capture! Thnx Steve! Have a look! Also posted at: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ramonakasius/2653164859
