Yes ?! :-) Then let's go back to 1986 and 1987... Back to...( TOTOlicious ;-) happier times !! Tracks 1,2,3, & 4 are from the first "Fahrenheit" tour gig. Which was taped at the Bunka Taiikukan in Yokohama, Japan on October 29th 1986...
Favourite David Paich solo : "Pamela", favourite Steve Porcaro solo : "Could This Be Love". What are yours ?! :-) mm
Having had the privilege of being invited to spend 3 days at Simon Phillips' studio witnessing Toto putting the finishing touches to their new album in September 2005, Toto's management asked me to draft "Liner Notes" for the Falling In Between CD sleeve. In the end, only the "Band track notes" which I compiled were included in the final CD sleeve layout. TOTO – FALLING IN BETWEEN by Will Minting, November 2005
Hi friends and fans, seconds ago I added a pretty unknown tune of Janne Schaffer on youtube. Janne Schaffer is a swedish session guitarrist who worked with Phil Collins, ABBA and others. Back in 1978 he did a recording session with the whole Porcaro family! I added yome pics of Jeff to the awesome track "It´s never too late", which in my opinion is a prefect example of Jeffs groove.
I finallly made the giant leap and got myself a new turntable, and (thanks to Tanya) one of those I can hook up to the computer and make wav/mp3 files from records with. One of the first albums I got back is Don Henley's "I Can't Stand Still". I know it by heart, almost, but listening to it once again after a lot of time is making a huge impression and bringing back a lot of memories. Some of the cats playing on it: Lee, Luke, Steve Porcaro, Jeff... Sounds familiar? :O) This album is a masterpiece. Cheers, leo
hello i ordered that DVD from amazon Japan (it was a nightmare to order it , as my Visa card was rejected ..). the dvd name is jay graydon all stars, and feature jay graydon on guitar, steve porcaro on keyboards, bill cantos, bill Champlin, joseph williams on vocals and keyboards, etc ... at the end of the concert, they play a terrific version of Pamela sung by Joseph. the concert is very bad filmed, with only ONE camera, shoted behind the audience. it was in 1994 in Japan.
I had to add this on here....a classic clip from 1980 in Tokyo!! Some nice views of Jeff & Steve Porcaro in here...also guess who pops up near the end??? Bobby babey!! Nice one for the archives!! ;-)
I am k.o. and happy, after arriving at home in one piece- the german autobahn is snowy and slippery as hell and I had to drive home from a consumer trade show where I am representing our company. No fun at all, after 14 hours loud exhibition noises... BUT :-) ... 1st of all tomorrow I will add some pictures of our heroes helping me through the trade-show-day... (be curious) and 2nd I just had the time and the fun of looking through some of my old removal-boxes. And here it is :-) I found that Steve Porcaro Starlicks VHS I bought over 16 years ago :-) And this old collectors piece even included a booklet for Midi-Beginners...
I got the XX-Party from Le Reservoir /France on DVD. After I shared it with some friends, one of them (Hi old Walrus!) was quicker than me uploading them to the tube. If anyones interested in this unique moment of Toto-History (Joe&Bobby, Steve Porcaro and all the others!), check out this: http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=Toto+XX&search=Search little teaser (Stop loving you):
My desktop-wallpaper-tribute to one of my favorite albums ever - Toto IV! (So the black line on the bottom was left for the toolbar - but there's virtually no room for icons...)
This photo of the family was taken up in the hills of Glendale, CA, at the Greek Theatre before a concert with Boz Scaggs, when all three bros. were on the gig at the same time.
My wallpaper tribue to the album that started it all! (All together and under their own name, anyway.) Kudos to the "triviologists" that know why tracks 9 and 7 were quoted.
