I went to see Greg play last night at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood. It was a show to honor Herbie Hancock It was probably one of the most insane, unreal shows I've ever seen. Superstar after superstar entered the stage and played a couple of tunes,.. On the last song the played, chameleon, they used 3 drummers, Vinnie Colaiuta, Harvey Mason and Teddy Campbell, Luis Conte on percussion. It was great to see Greg perform in a different setting. Just a small selection of people who played: Herbie Hancock, Sting, Joni Mitchell,Terance Blanchard,George Benson,George Duke, Jamie Foxx, Al Jarreau, Nancy Wilson,Vinnie Colaiuta, Nathan East, Paul Jackson Jr, John Patitucci,.... and the list goes on and on.
Dear Lee, I was watching tv and just learned that Vasco Rossi's "La Compagnia" is number one here in Italy. It's a great cover, Vasco is in top form and your bass is bitchen! This is one of the great classics of Italian pop music, and it's all over the place! I'm so happy you're part of it. You rock man!!! PS: I found a video of this song from an Italian tv special. The guy who put it on YouTube edited out a bit of interview so there is a break in the middle. Also, this is a playback version, with just Vasco: the audio is from the original EP cd "Vasco Extended Play". Drums: Vinnie Colaiuta - Bass: Lee Sklar - Guitars: Mike Landau, Stef Burns and Guido Elmi - Keyboards: Frank Nemola. Recorded at Open Digital Studio, Bologna (Italy) and Henson Studios, Los Angeles. Recording engineer: Nicola Venieri. Recording assistants: Enrico "Flint" Mambella and Kevin Mills.

Also, we chat with Jeff about his gig with the Jimmy Kimmel house band, as well as a bevvy of Toto talk. I think you'll dig it! I'll be sure to post a new blog announcement tomorrow when the show is ready. Best wishes!
